logo.gifindex.htmlThe Erasmus Course on Magnetic Resonance Imaging provides education to European radiologists and medical practitioners who wish to use magnetic resonance imaging.
The course was founded in Brussels by Prof. Michel Osteaux in 1991.
Set-up of the course
The course comprises 9 one week modules of 40 hours. Several courses have only 3 or 4 days and accordingly only 30 hours. The number of students allowed per module is restricted. Teaching includes formal lectures, reading sessions, seminars and self-teaching sessions.
The Central Nervous System I and Central Nervous System II are complementary; a different content is presented in these modules.
The Musculoskeletal module I is a more basic module, the module II is subspecialized complimentary.
Students are evaluated at the end of each module. You have to reach 66% correct answers to pass. The University organising a module awards a certificate to the successful students. The Erasmus Course certificate is awarded to those having successfully completed the whole course, the Neuro-certificate is awarded to those having successfully completed the Head & Neck, Central Nervous System I and II-modules.
