COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This one-week module is part of the ERASMUS Course (EMRI) on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) which will provide the diagnostic imaging professional with a sound understanding of the basic physical principles that underpin MRI. The course format includes formal lectures accompanied by supervised tutorial Q/A sessions on MR physics – covering everything from basic NMR, T1 and T2, through to advanced neuro, body and cardiovascular applications. No previous knowledge of MR physics is assumed. The University of Dundee will award a certificate to successful candidates, and 20 CME credits will be applied for.  An attendee limit of n=30 delegates is proposed in order to optimise focussed learning (including tutorial discussions with members of the faculty) and social networking. Delegates typically attend from a variety of disciplines, including Clinical Radiology, Medical Physics, Radiography and also staff/students from clinical or scientific university departments.  The course will be held from Mon 20th Sept 2021 through to Fri 24th Sept 2021 inclusive.
CATERING AND MEALS:
Tea, coffee and lunches will be provided on a daily basis during the course.  Special dietary requirements must be requested in advance; however a vegetarian option will be available every day.  In addition, a welcome drinks reception will be held on Monday 20th September 2021 at Verdant Works – a heritage Jute Mill located in Dundee (which was once the world capital of the Jute trade).  Later in the week a course social dinner will be held in St Andrews – traditionally known as the home of golf and recently famous as the University town where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (William and Kate) studied and met.  A free coach will be arranged to transfer delegates the short distance from Dundee to St Andrews and return. All of these events are fully included within the registration fee.
ACCOMODATION:
Accommodation is widely available at hotels within the central area of Dundee, where dining and entertainment facilities are close at hand. A full list of recommended hotels will be available online via the Dundee and Angus Convention Bureau website once registration payment has been received. Accommodation is not included in the registration fee - delegates will be responsible for making their own housing arrangements.

VENUE
The course will be held at Ninewells Hospital Medical School, Dundee, UK.  This is a University Teaching Hospital which is within easy reach of the centre of Dundee.  Registration will be from 09:00-10:00 on Monday 24th September 2021 – access via the main reception of the hospital.
TRAVEL
The central area of Dundee is convenient for transport links including bus and train, and Dundee also hosts a small airport where direct flights are available to/from London Stansted. Many airlines also provide international flights from Europe to Edinburgh, where easy onward road/coach and rail connections are available to Dundee.  By rail there is also a regular service from London Kings Cross which is adjacent to the Eurostar terminus at London St Pancras.
COURSE FEE (Includes Course Materials, Lunches, Breaks and Social Programme):
